Electrical Safety Course

Do you or your employees work on or near live installations? Then it is a requirement that you are instructed in electrical safety.

Main safety rules

It is always a risk to work on live installations and the consequences of an accident can be severe. Minimize the risk of accidents with our electrical safety course.

It is mandatory by law that persons doing live work are instructed on a regular basis. It is recommended that this is done once a year.

With this course you will achieve a thorough knowledge of correct electrical safety behavior and the company will have documentation that instruction has taken place.

Furthermore it should be mentioned, that additional internal instruction may be required depending on the task at hand. This is something you must consider during the risk assessment before each new electrical project.

The course is based on the new EU legislation for safety when working on electrical installations. That means that the course meets the requirements in the "Executive Order on Safety in connection with the Construction and Operation of Electrical Installations" and the standard EN 50110.

We strongly recommend

that all employees still receive an ANNUAL update of the course in electrical safety rules. Even though employees may find electrical safety rules to be 'troublesome and boring,' the consequences can be very serious if an accident were to happen. In the worst case, it could be fatal. Therefore, it is better to take the course once too many than once too few. For a company, the consequences of lacking updates and instruction can also be very extensive, especially if an accident occurs. If the Labor Inspectorate pays a visit, they will often ask when the employees last took a course in electrical safety rules. By taking the course annually, you will thus have documentation for a periodic update at a reasonable interval. Furthermore, it should be noted that there may be electrical work that requires additional instruction in the company, this should be assessed when you conduct a risk assessment before a given task is commenced.
